About the Shiva Table Lamp, Ian Thornton says, "I took a traditionally mid-century lamp shape and rethought the material selection to create a rope-wrapped lamp body. My inspiration for this piece specifically was mid-century Italian lamps." The natural linen shade has a coarse texture that seamlessly echoes the character of the abaca on the rope lamp's body and ball finial.
