7 Ways to Get Your Guest Room Ready for Holiday Guests
It's only the very beginning of fall, but before you know it, people across the country will be traveling to stay with family and/or friends for the holidays. Preparing your home for holiday guests can be stressful, but with the right plan, it doesn't have to be! Try to focus on things that will enhance the comfort of your holiday guests. Here are seven tips to prep your guest room for visitors.
- Deep Clean. No one wants to stay in a dirty room. Before the holiday season starts, give your guest room a good, deep clean. One of the best things to start with is dusting. - Add Bedside Tables. If you don't already have them, adding nightstands or bedside tables is the perfect touch. It allows guests a place to put their things that they may need at night. For example, phones, watches, or water bottles. It's also a good place to put lamps for cozy home lighting.
- Clean Towels and Linens. Guest hosting 101 is to make the bed and have fresh linens ready for your guests. One often overlooked part of hosting people is to have their towels ready for them. There is nothing worse than having to hunt down a towel or washcloth to use for a shower at someone else's house. Provide your guests with fresh linens all around so they don't have to hunt for them.
