A rose is a rose is a rose, until Varaluz reimagines it. The Ethereal Rose 1 Light Sconce takes its inspiration from a drawing in the Japanese design magazine Shin-Bijutsukai (New Oceans of Art), marrying swirling lines of varying thicknesses and irregular curves with a mid-century metalwork technique. At the center of each rose sits a multi-faceted, optic-quality round crystal element, the Havana Gold Ombre hand-painted multi-layered finish features a unique ombre that deepens around the crystal centers, with polished stainless accents added by hand. Flanking a bed, vanity, or fireplace, Ethereal Rose reads designer rather than stock, as a vanity or bathroom sconce, or as a rose sconce above a guest mirror, the crystal centers throw soft sparkle across the room. Hand-set crystal, recycled-content steel, low-VOC paint, all hand-finished in small batches. Mid century modern lighting with art deco lighting bones — a designer wall sconce with serious presence.
