This complex beige vase has multi-layered ornamentations that make it so painstaking to create. First, there is the fluted shape of the vase's body, then there is the bumpy patterning applied in large and small shapes to mimic the streaks in a peanut shell. The ivory glaze on the ceramic is applied so that the natural color of the material shows in places for even more texture.
