Taking its cues from the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis — the plane that made the first solo flight across the Atlantic — the Daphne 1 Light Convertible Flush Mount/Sconce takes you on an inspirational flight of the imagination. The matte black and French gold fins echo the radial engine that powered the aircraft on its record-setting flight (the collection takes its name from a photo of a woman named Daphne observing a placard honoring the event). The convertible mount works either as a wall sconce light or as a flush mount ceiling light — one of the most flexible bathroom light fixtures or decorative wall light pieces in the collection. As a vanity or bathroom sconce, or as a semi flush mount light, flush mount chandelier, or flush mount ceiling light in a hallway, mudroom, or guest room — Daphne reads designer rather than stock.
