Every year St George hosts a nationally renowned Parade of Homes and is the largest Parade in the state. Over the years millions of visitors have been drawn in to look at some of the best home designs in the industry, attracting visitors nationwide to experience cutting-edge homes set against Southern Utah's breathtaking landscapes. Lighting Design visits every year not only to see the inspired spaces but also the fixtures that light these magnificent homes. Here is our 2025 review of the St George Parade of Homes.
Overall review. Overall the 2025 St George Parade was a huge success. This year's parade featured 31 breathtaking properties, from charming homes to expansive estates exceeding 19,000 square feet. These homes are set against the stunning backdrop of Southern Utah's red rock landscapes, providing a unique blend of natural beauty and cutting-edge home design.
Lighting review. As per usual, the lighting selected for the Parade Homes did not disappoint. Lighting selections ranged from modern to traditional to glam. Every light fixture whether it was a ceiling light, wall light, or exterior lighting was selected to complement the style and design of each home. In the world of high-end home design, lighting is no longer just functional—it’s an integral part of the aesthetic. Some of the most exciting trends spotted this year included:
- Statement Fixtures: Large, bold chandeliers or pendant lights that serve as the centerpiece of living and dining rooms.
- Warm, Inviting Ambiance: The homes embraced a more neutral, soft lighting palette that creates cozy, inviting spaces.
- Smart Lighting: Many homes featured tech-forward solutions that allowed homeowners to control lighting from their phones or voice commands, perfect for energy efficiency and ease of use.
-
Tape Lighting: A combination of task and ambient lighting by using tape to accent different areas of the home from closets to under cabinet lighting.
Here are some beautiful examples of the lighting we saw in the homes.
