Tips for Choosing The Right Size Outdoor Lights

With the weather warming up, it's time to start considering your outdoor lighting. Below are our infographics on how to choose the perfect-sized outdoor lights for your home.
Single Outdoor Light Sizing Guide
For a single light outside your door, we recommend the overall height of the fixture be about 1/4 the overall height of the door. Position the light so the center of it is eye level or about 60"-65" from the ground. Shop the Ericson Savoy House exterior light.
Double Outdoor Light Sizing Guide
For two lights on either side of a door or double-door, the same rules apply. The center of the light should be at eye level or 60"-65" from the ground. The overall height of the exterior fixture should be about 1/4 the height of the door. These rules can also apply to lighting on either side of your garage doors.
