The Bittersweet Peking Vase is made of unique layered glass, a complex process of blowing, carving then dipping multiple times. . The wonderful deep coral orange was a special color during the Ming Dynasty, as it historically represented fire and desire, and was highly prized in the emperor's palace for its brilliance.
