The Heritage containers are reminiscent of the ancient Japanese art of Shou Sugi Ban, a striking method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. Traditional Chinoiserie shapes are carved from oak and lightly coated in black, revealing a tapestry of dynamic wood fibres. Each of the containers in this enigmatic trio is lidded, concealing a discreet inner cavity.
