A fan-tastic decorating idea for your home, our Chandel-Air features a Silver Mica shade transformed into a decorative and functional casement for a fan. The famed Smythe Craftsman design is a custom fan-integrated lighting design with a Silver Mica diffuser and hand-finished in Mahogany Bronze. Multiple layers of light for different moods and tasks include eight inner lights that bring out the beauty of the Mica, four uplights to deliver ambient illumination, and four downlights on the shade that provide functional illumination on surfaces below. This collection is custom configurable with additional lamping options to illuminate challenging settings, including knotty pine or log homes where a natural wood finish absorbs light. Designed as an energy saver, the Chandel-Air can pull hot air up and keep the space cool in the summer, and reversed in the winter to push down hot air and maintain warmth. This lighting design is popular in Craftsman-styled homes in Chicago, St. Louis, and Southern California.
