Integrated Lighting vs Independent: What's the Difference?

What is the difference between integrated LED lights and independent or non-integrate light fixtures? The short answer is that integrated lights come with LEDS incorporated directly into the luminaire and independent light fixtures come with classic bulb sockets and typically no bulbs included. Let's go through the different features of integrated lights versus independent. 

How can you tell the difference between integrated and independent LED lights? Typically, lights that are integrated will have "LED" in their name, and lights that are independent will not. Another good way is to look at the light itself.  Integrated LEDs don't have a visible bulb or socket. Independent light fixtures will have a bulb or an obvious place for one.
