The Maroux 12 Sconce by Christiane Lemieux is a study in restraint—an exploration of proportion, material, and the soft diffusion of light. Inspired by the disciplined geometry of French 1930s lighting design, its lineage traces to Pierre Chareau's Maison de Verre and the sculptural rationalism of Michel Roux-Spitz. Here, light becomes spatial and deliberate. A vertical cylinder in opaline glass stands poised like a column of captured air, while the mount in burnished brass and aged iron creates a tactile interplay of glow and gravity.
